Georgia athlete likes Vanderbilt

Tay Robinson is a quick receiver and cornerback prospect from Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia. The 5'8 and 165 pound Robinson is undecided at the moment but has two schools tentatively atop his list. Which schools lead for the Marietta standout?

"Louisville and Vanderbilt are at the top," said Tay Robinson. "I don't have a true leader but those two are schools I'm most interested in. North Carolina, Miami, Kent State, Texas, and Michigan are the rest of the schools on my list."

Which schools have shown the most interest in Robinson?

"Kent State and Gardner-Webb have offered. I've had a lot of coaches say they'll offer but haven't received any yet. I've received hand written letters from Southern Miss and Louisville. Coach Cain at Vanderbilt has sent me a few letters."

Robinson is willing to play either position in college.

"I'll play either position at the next level. As long as I get playing time, that's all that matters."

Where does Robinson plan to attend for his summer camps?

"I was at Miami's camp earlier this summer. I'm probably going to Georgia for their camp tomorrow."

Location and Academics will play a large role in Robinson's decision.

"If two schools are equal I will choose the closer school. If possible I would like to be close to home. I'd like to major in Sports Management or Sports Medicine in college and that will be a large part of my decision too."

Robinson was part of Wheeler's 2003 State Championship team in track. With two offers on the table he will have options on signing day. Stay tuned to Scout.com and find out who's on top for Tay Robinson on signing day 2006.
