VandyMania Prediction

Wake Forest is a tough, hard nosed team that lost some close ones like Vandy did last season. Vandy will need to take advantage of the absense on Star tailback Chris Barclay. Trouble is backup Micah Andrews may be even better than Barclay. Look for Vandy to try to eploit a questionable Deacon secondary with preseason All-SEC quarterback Jay Cutler and capable wide receivers Erik Davis and Marlon White. It will be interesting to see how converted quarterback Steven Bright works out at the fullback position for the Commodores. Wake Forest will work hard to ram the ball down a smaller but quicker Vandy defense. New Deacon starting signal caller Benjamin Mauk set several passing records on the high school level. This game could go either way but look for Vandy to prevail in a close one.
