Profile 2003 - Adam Truitt (OL)

Hoover High School in Hoover, AL has enjoyed an very impressive two year run. Winning the state title in 2000 and finishing as a runner up in 2001. Starting at left tackle the past 2 seasons has been Adam Truitt. At 6-3 and 275 pounds with a 5.0 forty, Truitt has the perfect combination of size, strength and quickness to star at tackle for Hoover.

The most commonly known fact is to never become involved in a land war in Asia. Only slightly less known is that it's easier to beat the IRS than it is Alabama and Auburn for an instate recruit. While that's an exaggeration, Colleges may find Truitt a bit more open about leaving the state than many of Alabama's top prep stars. "I moved down here from Pennsylvania as a freshman," said Truitt. "So, I haven't always been down here. But I can see why they say it's a whole different ballgame in the south. It's college football year round here. Right now I'm looking at Vanderbilt, Auburn, Alabama, Stanford, and Northwestern. I'm camping at Auburn and Alabama for sure, and I may try to hit Vanderbilt."

Asked how the transition was on moving in to one of the most passionate areas in the nation for football, Truitt just laughed, "I carry and Alabama hat and and Auburn hat around in my car; that way I'm covered wherever I go."

An excellent student with a championship pedigree, Truitt will look to lead Hoover back to the State Title after finishing second last year.
