Scott Feinstein picks the SEC

Week 10 is here and there are not really any impressive match ups. Tennessee vs. Notre Dame was supposed to have been, but the Vols have been one of the most disappointing teams in the nation this year. Here are my picks for that game, and the other 5 involving SEC teams.

Last Week : (3-3) vs. spread : (3-3) Yearly : (41-19) vs spread : (27-28)

Appalachian St @ LSU (-29) : This is a match up between the #6 ranked team in the nation vs. the #7 ranked team in the nation. Wow, what a great match up, why is the spread 29?? Well, of course, Appalachian St. is ranked #7 in Div 1-AA. While LSU will be playing one of the better teams on that level, this game will still be a blowout. LSU showed last week they know how to pour it on. LSU 52 Appalachian St 7

Auburn (-22) @ Kentucky : Kentucky may be looking past Auburn to next weeks game vs Vanderbilt. Err, yea right. Auburn wins here in a sleep walk. Auburn 38 Kentucky 13 Alabama @ Miss St (+16): This is a game where one team actually will be overlooking its opponent. Bama has LSU on tap next week in a HUGE game. Miss St will keep the game close but of course fall short in the end. Alabama 24 Miss St 13

South Carolina (+4) @ Arkansas: South Carolina may be a little too high going in to play Arkansas following last weeks big win over Tennessee. I look for this to be a very close game and either team could win. I'm going with the Hogs in a close one. Arkansas 27 S Carolina 24

Tennessee @ Notre Dame (-8): I keep looking for this Tennessee team to bounce back, but they have not done so yet. I pick them to win just about every week, so this week I am definitely going against them. If the somehow win after I pick them to lose, Im sure I will get lots of hate mail from all the Irish fans. Notre Dame's offense has just been rolling along, while Tennessee's offense hasn't been rolling anywhere. Notre Dame 31 Tennessee 14

Vanderbilt (+19) @ Florida: Wow. This line seems awfully high. Under Bobby Johnson, Vanderbilt has played Florida three pretty tough, close games. Vandy actually had a big lead at halftime last year before wilting in the 2nd half. Florida really has no quality wins this year, with the exception of the Georgia win. UGA was without DJ Shockley though, and I truly believe they lose if DJ had played. I am going for my upset pick of the year here. is it a tad biased?? You bet it is, but I just have a really good feeling about this game. Vandy wins the shootout. With two weeks to prepare, and realizing how important this game is to getting to a bowl, Vanderbilt comes out inspired and throws it all at Florida and comes away with a huge win. Vanderbilt 34 Florida 31
