VU Recruiting Reset: Defensive backs

VandyMania takes a look at the defensive back recruiting for Vanderbilt. The Commodores already have three known defensive backs in the fold and might be pursuing more. Check out who has committed and who may fill one of the few remaining scholarships the staff has.

5-10, 185
Rugged cornerback led his team to the South Carolina State Championship.  Had an 82 yard kickoff return in one game.  Had 8 catches and an interception in one game in the playoffs.  A wonderful athlete, he is the state champion in the high jump and made earned All-State honors as a point guard in basketball.  For more on Moore visit the links below:

Marquez Hall might turn out to be one of the fastest players ever to wear the black and gold, college or pro.   Hall has been timed sub 4.4 numerous times and stated to VandyMania that his goal was to get his time down to 4.2.   Hall received strong interest from Alabama, Auburn, Louisville, Kentucky, LSU and Clemson. The Vanderbilt staff might be finished recruiting defensive backs.  However, the following players are prospects that Vanderbilt is known to be recruiting but may or may not have offered.

Ashton Hall (5-10, 180) Number 60 ranked cornerback prospect nationally but   4.5 forty speed.  Has offers from Western Michigan, Wake Forest and Central Florida.  Does not have an offer from Vanderbilt yet.  Former teammate Darlon Speed plays for Vanderbilt.  Check out the stories below for more on Ashton.

Dominique Davenport (5-11, 185)  Three star prospect is rated the number 66 cornerback prospect nationally.  Has not managed an offer yet but was getting strong interest from Vandy, Duke and Wake Forest.   Had 7 interceptions as a junior.  For more Davenport, check out the links below.
