Indiana's Best Kept Secret

There's a prospect in Indiana that not many people have heard of because he's tucked away in a quiet, small town. However, he makes a lot of noise on the football field and when it's all said and done he'll have his pick of schools.

Cole Seifrig, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound, athlete from Lincoln City (Ind) Heritage Hills is a dynamite athlete. Seifrig preps at a school in southern Indiana that's about an hour east of Evansville.

After watching film of Seifrig, I can't believe that he doesn't have a scholarship offer. If Cole played his high school football in the Chicago area, he'd have a handful of offers right now.

Seifrig is the best-kept secret in Indiana. He's lighting fast and he can make defenders miss. Cole has the extra gear that can't be taught and he has very good hands. Seifrig has legit 4.4 speed and he's just so athletic.

"I don't have an offer right now." Seifrig said. "Clemson, Kentucky, Stanford and Indiana State have called so far in May.

"I've been to junior days at both Vanderbilt and Indiana and I went to their spring games as well.

"Vanderbilt, Indiana, Ole Miss, Alabama and Stanford are my favorites right now."

Seifrig plays both running back and flanker on offense and he plays safety on the defensive side of the ball for Heritage Hills.

Cole has scored 57 touchdowns the past two-seasons and last year he had eight interceptions. He's too good an athlete to be projected at one certain position. He's good enough to come in and help a football program as a true freshman.

Cole Seifrig may be a sleeper on May 15th, 2002 but he'll be one of the most talked about prospects in the Midwest come this fall. Top Stories
