Snedeker Tied for 13th after third

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Vanderbilt junior Brandt Snedeker is tied for 13th place and is at two under par after the third round of the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship. The four-round Championship is being played at The Ohio State Scarlet Course (Par 71, 7,222 yards) in Columbus, Ohio.

Snedeker, who is one of six golfers participating as individuals, joined the field in battling tough wind conditions during Friday's third round. Beginning on the 10th tee, the Montgomery Bell Academy graduate recorded pars on his first four holes before posting a bogey on the 14th hole. He then fired pars on his final 13 holes to coast into the clubhouse with a one-over-par round of 72, putting him at two under par after three rounds.

Georgia Tech is atop the team competition with a three-round score of one-over-par 853. UAB's Graeme McDowell leads the individual competition, finishing the third round at eight under par after firing rounds of 71, 67 and 67.

Completion of the Friday's third round was delayed by rain. The rain delay began at 4:57 p.m. Central and play resumed at 6:55 p.m. Central.

The NCAA Championship wraps up Saturday with the fourth and final rouond. Snedeker's final round is scheduled to begin on the 10th hole at 7:57 a.m. Central. Top Stories
