Rain Bumps Series Start

The Southeastern Conference baseball game between the No. 16 Vanderbilt Commodores and the No. 11 Alabama Crimson Tide was rained out on Friday night as a series of thunderstorms brought heavy rains through the Tuscaloosa area.

The two teams will play a double header on Saturday, April 22 beginning at 2 p.m. (CT). There will be 30 minutes in between games and only one ticket (#27 of #28) will be required for admission. The stadium will not be cleared between games. Both games will be nine-inning games.

This is Alabama's fourth rainout of the 2006 season. The Crimson Tide will play its third double header of year on Saturday. Alabama has swept its previous two double headers with wins over Florida International (W 12-2 and 7-0) on Feb. 26 and No. 1 South Carolina (W 8-6 and 6-1) on April 9.
