Grimaldi, who helped Notre Dame de Sion to two consecutive Class 3A state championships as a junior and senior. She averaged 14 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals per game during her senior season. Her senior season got off to a bumpy start, as she missed the first seven games of the season due to torn ligaments in her right foot and ankle, and Sion struggled as she worked her way back to full strength. After her return, the Storm won 18 of their last 21 games, including the state championship.
The Kansas City Star named Grimaldi the All-Metro Player of the Year
last season, and she was on the Class 3A All-State First Team in both her
junior and senior years. She is on full scholarship and is currently
attending summer school at Vanderbilt.
