Men's Golf: Snedeker sets course record

GLENVIEW, Ill. - Following Bryan Clarke's course record of 68 on Wednesday at the Fuji Xerox USA vs. Japan Collegiate Golf Championship, Vanderbilt senior Brandt Snedeker fired a 65 to surpass The Glen Club course record by three shots on Thursday afternoon. Even with Snedeker's victory, Japan cut the lead to 20-16 against the USA.

 Snedeker cruised on Thursday, as he defeated Kunihiro Kamii,
65-75. Added to his 71 on Wednesday, the senior All-American leads
the competition with an overall total of 136.

"It felt really good today to shoot that number," Snedeker
said. "I've been working on a lot of things in my game lately, and
this is the first time I've had confidence over the ball in a while."

Snedeker and the rest of his teammates will look to hold on
to the lead when they play the final round of singles matches on
Friday. Snedeker will take on Shintaro Kai at 8:19 a.m. Kai had a
superb round of 66 en route to defeating American Bryan Clarke on
