That was easy. Good teams are playing bad teams and winning. Unfortunately, the good times are over. The fecal matter comes into contact with the rapidly rotating air impeller. There are some real challenges this week in tne SEC. The top teams in each division are going head-to head, with the winner having a big head start on the road to Atlanta and the championship game.

(9-0 last week 9-0, 19-2 overall)

Frequently in error, never in doubt.

Might as well get the relatively easy ones out of the way…..

Lousiana-Monroe @ Alabama - The Tide needs a breather after last week's narrow win over Vandy, and this is it. ‘Bama by 35.

UAB @ Georgia - The Dawgs are a pretty heavy favorite over Watson Brown's Blazers, but I think it will be a much closer game than expected. The home edge and SEC home cooking will allow Georgia to win a nail-biter. Georgia by 6.

Tulane @ Mississippi State – And I thought Vandy's offense was bad. MSU has had the ball in the opponent's half of the field only 4 time, twice on turnovers. They've only run 16 plays in enemy territory. They've been shut out twice. The question at hand is if they can score at all, much less score enough to beat the Greenies. The GreenWave didn't do much last week either, but at least they scored. In a game of two desperate teams, MSU is wanting this one a little more. MSU by 2.

Wofford @ South Carolina - Spurrier will be merciless. SC by 47.

Mississippi @ Kentucky – The home advantage, plus the emotional lift of having the most recent success should propel the Mildcats. Ky by 14.

And now for the really difficult picks:

LSU @ Auburn – Neither team has been challenged yet this year, so there is no track record to go by. I'm going with the home team on this one. Tigers by 6. (Hey, I win this either way!) AUBURN Tigers by 6.

Florida @ Tennessee – Which Vol team will show up? The dominator of Cal or the team that barely squeaked by Air Force? I think UTK learned something very important against the Falcons, and that lesson plus the 106,000 home field advantage will allow them to beat Florida with relative ease. UTK by 15.

Arkansas @ Vanderbilt – Vandy has yet to come to grips with the loss of Jay Cutler. They have a real chance in this game, but I don't think this team is ready to win. Inability to convert 3rd downs to first downs will be the downfall of the Commodores. Arkansas is not necessarily the better team, but history and offensive inconsistency will drag Vandy under. Pigs by 12.
