James Williams Back from Nashville

Scout.com spoke with James Williams Sunday afternoon about his official visit to Vanderbilt. The big Smyrna, (Tenn.) offensive lineman was impressed.

"It was great, the hospitality--we ate four times per day," James Williams said. "The way everything was set up, it was perfect."

"All the commitments were visiting together all but Kyle Fischer. We had fun. We all went to OpryLand and went bowling and hung out. Chris Williams was my host, and we had fun."

"Saturday we toured the campus, then we had some free time. We met with one of the deans and discussed academics. Then later we each met one-on-one with coach Johnson for about 15 minutes. It was all great."

Williams also talked about his reasons for picking Vanderbilt as his college choice.

"It's close to home, and you get a world-class education while getting to compete in the best conference in the country," Williams exclaimed.

"Also, they have the highest graduation rate in the conference. They're also a program on the rise with coach Johnson and the job he's doing."

When does the talented offensive lineman plan to arrive on campus?

"I'll be there in June for summer school," Williams said.

James Williams also talked of future visits to other schools.

"No visits. I'm done;" Williams stated.
