Alabama's Mr. Football Visits Vanderbilt

Scout.com three-star quarterback Larry Smith, from Prattville, (Ala.), took his official visit to Vanderbilt. The Commodore commitment talks about his experience in Nashville.

"My official visit went great," said Larry Smith from Prattville, (Ala.). "I liked everything about it. I liked the players, coaches and all the commitments that were up there."

"We all had a good time. We all enjoyed each other. It was pretty good."

Alabama's Mr. Football was hosted by another Mr. Football from Alabama.

"My host was Chris Nickson," Smith said. "Chris is a real cool guy. He is down to earth. We are real similar. We really got to know each other this weekend. He was a lot of fun."

"It was cool because all the coaches brought their wives up there. We got to meet their whole families. It was nice to have the whole staff up there."

"The coaches were basically saying they can't wait to get me up there. I am going up there in June, and they are real excited about getting everyone up there."

Smith noted his favorite part of his visit, "Hanging out with the players and getting a feel for the place. It was good getting a feel for the college life experience."

Larry Smith is a solid commitment to the Commodores, and his official visit secured his decision.

"It's a great campus, great coaching staff and great facilities. I really like everything about it," he said.
