Vanderbilt picked up another close win on Saturday when Nick Christiani struck out 8 batters to lead the Commodores to a 1-0 victory over scrappy Illinois-Chicago. Vanderbilt and Illinois-Chicago will play the final game of the 3-game series on Sunday at 1 p.m. CST.

Reliever Casey Weathers pitched the ninth inning and struck out two, including the Illinois-Chicago cleanup hitter Brett Schaefer. The Commodores improve to 17-0 and will face Illinois-Chicago again tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. CST.
