Davis, Williams in 3-point Championships

ATLANTA-- Vanderbilt seniors Dee Davis and Caroline Williams will compete in the College Three Point Championships this Thursday, March 29, at the Georgia State University Sports Arena.

The event, which kicks off Final Four festivities in the Atlanta area, brings together 24 of the nation's top seniors for three events -- men's and women's three-point shooting and a men's slam dunk contest -- on one exciting night.

The event will start at 7 p.m. ET, with doors scheduled to open at 5:30 p.m. All seating for the event is general admission. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for youth age 12-and-under, and are available on the Internet (http://www.georgiastatesports.com) or at the venue.

The competition will be televised Thursday night by ESPN on a tape-delayed basis. The broadcast is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT on ESPN.

Williams broke the Southeastern Conference's all-time mark for three-point shooting accuracy, closing her Vanderbilt career with an all-time three-point shooting percentage of 46.5 percent.

Davis, Vanderbilt's all-time career leader in assists, will forsake her unselfish ways to challenge the field on Thursday. Davis connected on 37 percent of her three-point attempts against SEC opponents this season.
