"Paul Harbin, UAB coach, did a great job of motivating his team at half time. He knew that he needed a quick goal to keep the game competitive and we knew that we needed to get that fourth goal to end their chances. Unfortunately, we missed an open goal for the fourth talley of the match..and UAB responded with a counter attack which produced their first goal. At this point, our team learned a valuable lesson. We must settle down, recognize that we will have some needed pressure...and then respond to it. We responded...but it took us about 15 minutes. And that was too long."
"I am still very proud of the effort. We got an early lead by taking risks in the final third. Then we fought back to seal the victory with a late goal. The girls worked very hard and were rewarded with a win on the road."
"Now, we are off to Wake Forest to play against two very good teams...University of Southern California and Loyola Mary mount. Both games will be a challenge--and we are looking forward to it."
