Women's Hoops: Banquet Photos

On Tuesday night, seniors Caroline Williams, Dee Davis, and Carla Thomas said goodbye to their teammates, coaches, and fans at the annual Women's Basketball Awards Banquet. Whitney D shares these photos of the festive evening.

This was the first banquet for freshmen Amber Norton and Lauren Lueders. Three years from now, it will be their turn.

Dee Davis received the "Give Back Award", presented by Merideth Marsh.

Jen Risper received "Best Defensive Player", presented by Tina Wirth.

Jessica Mooney and Tina Wirth shared the "Most Improved Player" award, presented by Jen Risper.

Carla Thomas received the "Go To Player" award, presented by Amber Norton.

Caroline Williams received the Academic Award and the Commodore Award, presented by Lauren Lueders.

The team's three graduating seniors: Caroline Williams, Carla Thomas, and Dee Davis. Carla leaves on Wednesday to join the WNBA's Chicago Sky, and Dee will leave on Thursday to join the Houston Comets. Caroline is still considering her options for the future, which include the possibility of playing professionally in Europe next winter.

The "other" seniors: Student trainer Kim Callan, Liz Sherwood, and four-year manager Hadley Zeavin. Kim and Hadley will start graduate school in the fall, and Liz will return to the basketball team as a redshirt senior.
