VU Recruiting spotlight:Wide Receivers

After the 2007 season Vanderbilt is projected to return all its wide receivers. However, after the 2008 season the Commodores will lose several receivers including Earl Bennett, George Smith and Sean Walker. Because of this the Commodore staff is hard at work looking for new young receiver talent to get into the Black and Gold talent pipeline.




Jaron Brown (6-2, 185) Cheraw, SC; Cheraw HS- Camping at Clemson, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Nick Bass (5-11, 195) Northside, GA; Warner Robins HS- 39 receptions for 524 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior. Speaks highly of Vanderbilt.
Destin Hood (6-2, 180) Mobile, AL; St. Paul's HS-Top 5 are Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Florida and Auburn.
Kamaron Riley (6-1, 178) Hawkinsville, GA; Hawkinsville HS- Committed to Georgia Tech on Monday.
Rodriguez Wilks (6-0, 195) Smyrna, TN; Smryna HS- Stellar wide receiver in close proximity of Vanderbilt. Despite the fact he is a longshot, VU still has a chance.
