Profile 2003 - T.J. Brock (ATH)

T.J. Brock has been one of the most prolific running backs in the state of Tennessee the past 2 years at Maryville, and he is off to a good start at his new school of Sweetwater as well.

As a sophomore and a junior, Brock ran for 2,400 yards and 39 touchdowns in his 2 seasons at Maryville, and in 4 games this season at Sweetwater he has 300 yards and 6 touchdowns in helping lead his team to a perfect 4-0 record.

Brock had an outstanding day at the Nike Camp in Athens in April posting a 4.53 forty along with a 4.47 shuttle time at 6-0 and 170 pounds. Brock said that he is now standing at 6-1 and 180 and is being recruited as an athlete. He has also totaled 32 tackles on defense and has a punt and kick return for touchdowns this season.

"I went to summer camps at MTSU and Vanderbilt this year," said Brock. "Most of the schools are recruiting me as an athlete/defensive back. The teams I like the best right now are MTSU, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Georgia, and Alabama."

Brock doesn't have any scholarship offers yet, but he's a fully qualified athlete that has exceptional abilities on the football field. Once schools see how well he has settled in at his new school, offers should be on the way.
