The Commodores are returning as much depth at cornerback as they have since the arrival of Bobby Johnson.

Starter D.J. Moore (photo at right) returns this year after getting his chance as freshman. Moore struggled some during the season but has shown the talent to play in the SEC.

Josh Allen (photo left), Jared Fagan and Darlon Spead return with game experience as well. All three saw significant playing time last year and could push for more playing time. Allen started several games during the 2005 season with good results.

Myron Lewis and Alan Strong have looked promising during the spring and could find themselves contributing this fall. Lewis has excellent speed and at 6' 2" he has the size to play well against the larger receivers in the conference.

Newcomer Jamie Graham could work his way onto the field if injuries mount. Veteran Joel Caldwell was moved to the safety position during the spring but could easily be moved back to a corner position.

With the depth at cornerback for the Commodores this fall an improved pass defense should be expected from this young group of defenders.
