Commodores have picked up a couple of commitments for their 2008 recruiting class. Somerset High School wide receiver John Cole
was the most recent prospect to make a verbal commitment to the Commodores. Cole took time out of his busy schedule to discuss his recent decision with VandyMania.com.
"I committed to the Vanderbilt Commodores about two nights ago," Cole said. "I called Coach Johnson and told him the news first. After talking with Coach Johnson, I called up Coach Fisher and Coach Fowler, the recruiting coordinator for my area. I basically told them that Vandy was the place for me." Other schools that were in the running for Cole's services included, Stanford, Eastern Kentucky, and Western Kentucky.
