The Yellow Jackets were led in scoring by Zack Peacock with 17 and Lewis Clinch with 15.
Vanderbilt's Foster did a great job defensively on Georgia Tech's leading scorer Anthony Morrow. Morrow came into this game averaging 18.7 points per game. He was held to zero points on one shot attempt in the first half. He ended the game with 12, but all of those points came in the second half when the game was all but over.
The Commodores built a 20 point lead in the first half by shooting 65% from the field. They ended the game shooting 55% from the field.
Georgia Tech cut the Commodore lead to 64-48 in the second half, but Ogilvy quickly killed the Yellow Jackets' momentum by scoring 5 straight points. Two of those points came on free throws after he was fouled hard from behind by Tech guard Matt Causey. That foul got the crowd fired up, and the Commodores never looked back.
This win will likely give the Commodores their first top 25 appearance of the 2007-2008 season. They entered this game with the 27th most votes in the country in one poll.
