Q&A with Lance Goulbourne

SM: How have you been doing on the hardwood this year?

LG: I've been doing OK… I really don't think I've been playing quite as well as I think I should have been playing.

SM: How's your team doing this season?

LG: Our season has been up and down. We've been playing against some really stiff competition. We just played against St. Anthony the other day. We also played Blair earlier this season. We're about 5-3 right now.

SM: Has your team been participating in any Holiday Tournaments?

LG: We played St Anthony in the Tip-Off Classic at Seton Hall University. We will also be playing American Christian at the Jameer Nelson Classic over the break at Widener University.

SM: Have you been keeping up with the Vanderbilt men's basketball team much this year?

LG: Yes… I got to watch the last game at DePaul. It was a little bit scary because they were down by 18 at one time. However, they ended up pulling it out. I've been keeping up with them a lot.

SM: Have you seen or been in contact with anyone from the Vanderbilt coaching staff lately?

LG: Actually I saw them the other day. Coach Stallings and Coach Muller came down to watch me play against Germantown.

SM: What are your thoughts about Vanderbilt's success on the court this season?

LG: I think it's great! Shan Foster is doing a great job; he's been playing real strong and he is averaging about 20 points a game. They have a freshman (Andrew Ogilvy) that is looking real good. I hope he is there when I get there. For the most part, I think they're looking real good right now. Coach Stalling is doing a great job, and all of the guys are doing well.

SM: Now that your recruitment is officially out of the way, how beneficial has it been to you?

LG: Man, it's been real good… It has given me a chance to concentrate on school and basketball. It gives me a chance to relax so to speak

SM: Any second thoughts about your commitment/signing?

LG: Oh no, I don't have any second thoughts. I was excited about my decision from day one.

SM: Are you ready to get started in Nashville?

LG: Yes, I am (laughing)… I can't wait to get down there! Top Stories
