Photo Story: Vanderbilt vs. ASU

It was a rough day at the office for Vanderbilt on Saturday in Tempe. Arizona State did everything right while nothing went right for Vanderbilt as the Commodores fell 18-6 to the Sun Devils. VandyMania's Don Yates was there and captured these images.

Brett Jacobson had a rough first outing of 2008. In three innings of work he struck out five but walked too many.

ASU's Mike Leake struck out four in six innings of work.

Parker made it to first.

True freshmen Sean Bierman's first pitch was a strike but the second was for a grand slam. Of the four runs, only one was charged to his young ERA.

Steven Liddle bats.

True freshmen Kellen St. Luce also saw his collegiate action on Saturday.

Mark Lamm took over for St. Luce.

Sparky had loads of fun.
