The Vanderbilt women's basketball team will face Maryland on Saturday in the semi finals of the Spokane (Wash.) Regional of the NCAA Tournament. The No. 1 seeded Terrapins defeated No. 8 seed Nebraska, 76-64, on Tuesday night.

Maryland, (32-3), finished the regular season second in the ACC behind North Carolina and has defeated the likes of LSU, Duke (twice), Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and Virginia. Maryland's three losses were to Rutgers, North Carolina and Duke (in ACC Tourney). Maryland is ranked fifth nationally in the RPI ratings. The Vanderbilt-Maryland winner will face the winner of the Pittsburgh-Stanford matchup for the right to advance to the Final Four.
