Marsalis Teague said of what he likes of Vanderbilt, "Vanderbilt is SEC football and a tremendous academic school." He added, "Coach Johnson and all the other coaches give a very warm welcoming. It feels like home when you go down there for a visit."
Teague who has been on campus reports, "I visited them early in March. I went to their junior day." As far as what he enjoyed on his visit he explained, "The coaching staff was very welcoming and the campus was nice."
According to Teague Vanderbilt is among one of the early leaders competing for his commitment. He explained, "Right now it's hard to tell. I think the ones that are ahead are the ones I talk to the most. The ones I talk to the most are Miami, Vanderbilt, and Georgia Tech." He added of his recruitment from Vanderbilt, "We keep in touch. We have a real nice relationship."
With seven early offers Teague has not really decided who is in the driver's seat for his services. He commented, "I'm open to almost everybody. I wouldn't say one team has more of a shot than any other team. I'm going to weigh all my options and the schools I keep in touch with the most are the ones who have the best shot."
Teague is a strong in state prospect that has a great ability to make plays. He is a threat both in the air and on the ground with his quick feet. At this point in time the Commodores seem to be in the hunt for Teague. He seems to have established a strong relationship with the coaching staff.
