Jackson likes Vanderbilt

Will Jackson, 6-4, 280 pound, offensive guard from Knoxville-Farragut, (Tenn.), is very interested in Vanderbilt. Jackson who has close to a dozen offers is hearing a lot from Vanderbilt.

He explained of Vanderbilt's status in the recruiting process, "Vanderbilt is a school that is always going to be there." He went on to say, "I really like there coaching staff and it's close to home and the education you get is great."

Jackson also said, "There always going to be a school in the mix. I really like Vanderbilt when I went to visit there. I really like everything there."

"I want to make sure football is a big part of the school and the social draw of the people on campus." explained Jackson of the qualities he is looking for in his choice. He also said, "I definitely enjoyed Vanderbilt when I have visited there and the coaches are great."

As far as which teams are recruiting him the most Jackson said the Commodores are one of two teams pressing hard for his commitment. He said, "Right now I'd say it would be Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt. Of those two probably more so Georgia Tech because they have had three or four coaches at my school this spring and I can count on three or four handwritten letters from them."

Jackson spoke of his timetable to make his decision. He explained that he wants to visit as many schools as possible including a possible visit to Vanderbilt. On his timetable he explained, "I'd say the earliest would be July, but at the same time at the latest it could be October. I may take some official visits during the season."
