Speedster receiving Interest from Vandy

The Vanderbilt coaching staff has been working very diligently, in an effort to put together a successful 2009 signing class. They have been searching the country far and wide, and have spotted quite a few prospects that reside on the west coast. One prospect in particular that they have been checking on lately is, James Flynn, from Notre Dame HS in Sherman Oaks, CA…

James Flynn may not be a household name, but the 6-1, 175 pound WR/DB possesses the talent and the skill level to land a spot on a DI program's roster someday.

Although Flynn resides out west in the state of California, quite a few east coast programs have already taken notice of the Notre Dame High standout; Boston College, Virginia, and Vanderbilt, to name a few. "I've been getting a bunch of letters from them (Vanderbilt); stuff like that," Flynn said. "We've also been talking back a forth a little bit, nothing too serious though."

A trip to Nashville, Tenn. may seem quite overbearing for the '09 prospect. However though, it is not out of the question... Should he decide to make the trek across the country to check on the Commodores, we will certainly let you know.

Stay tuned with VandyMania.com for the latest on the talented two-way star from the state of California.

Note: Last fall, Flynn had 19 receptions for 510 yards and four touchdowns for Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame. He also posts and impressive 4.48 in the forty-yard dash.
