Vandy Keeping Close Tabs On Colorado Safety

Alex Logan is quickly becoming a hot commodity in the football recruiting world. Lately the 6-3, 200 pound S/DB has been watching his recruitment take off right before his eyes, and from the looks of things, it won't be slowing down anytime soon. recently spoke with the 3-star prospect regarding the latest on his recruitment. Alex Logan's stock has been soaring through the roof as of late. The Mullen High star has been picking up scholarship offers left and right, from several of the country's top programs. Since there were too many for him to name right off top, Logan enlightened us on his most recent offers. "Arizona State, Colorado, San Diego State, and Northwestern were some of the latest schools to offer me," Logan told "That's pretty much it for the new ones."

The Vanderbilt Commodores were another team to throw their hat into to the ring for the 3-star prospect's signature. Logan recalled that it was approximately five weeks ago when Vandy first offered him a scholarship. And though Logan resides in the state of Colorado, he admitted that the Commodores have been pretty persistent with things so far.

Special Teams and Linebacker Coach, Warren Belin, has been put in charge of recruiting Logan, and the Colorado prep star has already begun speaking with Coach Belin on a regular basis. "I talk to Coach Belin pretty often," Logan said. "I'd say I talk to him about once a week; something like that. He really likes the fact that I am an athlete who likes to hit, and he knows that I can run very well too. Vanderbilt has mainly been recruiting me as a safety/outside linebacker type."

Alex has never been to Vanderbilt University before. However has been pondering over the idea of possibly making a trip over to the east coast one day, to check out the campus and/or a game sometime in the near future. "I would really like to take a visit out there one day," Logan said. "I'd have to get that straight with my dad though."

Last fall the hard-hitting safety registered 105 tackles and 1 interception for his high school team. He reports a 4.55 in the forty-yard dash, and a 32-inch vertical.

Logan has no particular time-frame set for his decision, and has not made any immediate plans as of yet. For now, he just wants to take his time with things, and see what all's out there. Should he decide to proceed to the next step, we will certainly let you know…
