The oddsmakers (and I) were 100% right last week. Doesn't happen very often, and this week certainly has the potential to leave us with egg on our faces. Oh, well, egg goes very well with crow.

Week 9
(5-0 last week; 48-10 overall)

The Geeks Shall Inherit the Turf....

Auburn @ West Virginia (Thursday) – West Virginia is a slight favorite in this game. But Auburn is on the road, and EVERYBODY beats Auburn. WV by 10.

Alabama @ Tennessee – I guess the question here is whether or not Alabama can score more in the first half than they can give up in the second half. It all hinges on the new UT phenom QB. How well will he throw while sitting on his backside after a sack? ‘Bama should stifle the big orange in both halves. Tide by 13.

Mississippi @ ArkansasOle Miss is a case of almost, but not quite, enough. They get well this week, as Snead goes hog-wild. Rebels by 17.

Kentucky @ Florida – UK barely eked out a win last week against lowly Arkansas at home. Life on the road is a lot tougher against Florida. Gators by 22.

Georgia @ LSU – Georgia will continue its inexorable march towards the SEC East championship. After nearly overlooking Vandy, they will be cocked and loaded going after the Tigers. Dawgs by 14.

MTSU @ Mississippi State – We could be looking at another 3-2 game here, with MSU on the winning side this time. MSU by 2.

Duke @ Vandy – The second of Vandy's three SAT games. They ought to have chess and poetry competitions before the game. In a clash of middle of the road SEC and ACC teams, I go with the SEC every time. Vandy by 17.
