Commodores to play MTSU in first game of NCAA

NASHVILLE-- The Vanderbilt baseball team learned today that they will travel to the Louisville Regional to face No. 2 seeded MTSU in their first game of the NCAA tournament. The Commodores were assigned a No. 3 seed. Louisville is the No. 1 seed of the regional and Indiana a No. 4 seed.

Middle Tennessee finished the season 43-16 and won the Sun Belt Conference Tournament Championship on Sunday. The two teams split mid week games during the 2009 regular season with the Blue Raiders winning 8-0 in Murfreesboro on April 6 and Vanderbilt winning 15-7 on April 15 in Nashville. The Vanderbilt-MTSU winner will face the winner of Louisville-Indiana game.
