KEY WINS

Sunday the Blue Raiders picked up the Sun Belt Conference Tournament title with a, 3-1, victory over Louisiana Monroe. Commodore fans are familiar with the 8-0 defeat of Vanderbilt by Middle.  Middle also defeated Memphis handily, 18-4 and 18-3.  Austin Peay also fell to Middle, 18-8. Middle has two wins over Western Kentucky, which has an RPI of 45, and those are the Blue Raiders most significant victories other than their win over Vanderbilt (34 RPI).

1B Blake McDade  .338 AVG   6 HR  51 RBI

REMARKS

Middle Tennessee absolutely dominated the Sun Belt.  Like Vandy, they have several future big league players on their roster.  Brentz is a once in a lifetime type of player, like David Price was at VU.

RF Steven Liddle  .354 10 HR 45 RBI
1B Curt Casali    .341 10 HR 56 RBI
2B Riley Reynolds .328  0 HR 20 RBI

REMARKS

The Commodores have some quality wins but also some bad losses. VU has talented, young players but they don't seem to handle success very well. They seem to do better when no one gives them a chance and many expect them to move on to Irvine next week.
