LAST WEEK (0-0)-----OVERALL (0-0)
People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones…
Alabama vs. Virginia Tech (Atlanta) – The NCAA is letting everyone play for the Tide. They'll need everyone, but should wear out the Hokies in the end. Tide 28 – VT 20
Missouri State @ Arkansas – Only the participants and their families care much about the results of this one. Pigs 40 – Mo St. 19.
Louisiana Tech @ Auburn – The plainsmen probably have enough to slip by in this game, but it won't be easy. Auburn 17 – La Tech 13.
Charleston Southern @ Florida – We may find out if there are three digits on the Florida side of the scoreboard. Gators 65 – Charleston Southern 14
Georgia @ Oklahoma State – The game most worth watching this week. The teams are just happy to be able to just worry about what's happening on the field. UGA 28 – OSU 24.
Kentucky @ Miami (OH) – (Yawn) UK 28 – Miami (OH!) 7
LSU @ Washington – (Double Yawn) LSU 28 – Washington 14
Ole Miss @ Memphis – The Rebs think they are going to be world beaters this year. They're not, but you won't be able to tell it by the results of this game. Mississippi 42 – Memphis 14
Jackson State @ Mississippi State – It's nice to start off as a new coach with a win. Enjoy it while it lasts. MSU 24 – Jackson State 14.
South Carolina vs. N. C. State (Raleigh 9/3) – The unsettled QB situation will doom the Gamecocks. How long has it been since Spurrier has had a signal caller he could rely on? Wolfpack 27 – Gamecocks 17.
Western Kentucky @ UTK – There will be no calling off of the dogs in this one. Kiffin has a statement to make (if he can keep his foot out of his mouth.) UTK 42 – WKU 7
Western Carolina @ Vanderbilt – It was smoke and mirrors last year for Vandy. Somehow the Commodores managed to win seven games with one of the worst offenses in the BCS. Nearly everybody is back from the defense (good). Nearly everybody is back from the offense (bad). If VU and generate some offense this year, it may be another bowl season. The game will tell us nothing. VU 38 - WCU 6.
