I wanted to have a career in sports when I was young, but I had to give it up. I'm only six feet tall, so I couldn't play basketball. I'm only 190 pounds, so I couldn't play football. And I have 20-20 vision, so I couldn't be a referee. ~Jay Leno

LAST WEEK (5-1)-----OVERALL (47-12)

Instant replay in college football is a farce. Where do they get these guys? Ever see a team "rush to the line of scrimmage to get a play off before the replay official can look at it"? If the team and coach can figure out there's an issue, why can't the replay officials? Call a timeout to "let the replay booth take another look"? Why would they take another look? Hell, just have 10 minutes between each play and review everything. Give the game back to the people on the field. If there's a mistake on the field, so be it.

Mississippi @ Auburn – Mississippi appears to have returned to the right track after a mid-season derailment. Auburn is going nowhere but down. Mississippi 24 - Auburn 10

Tulane @ LSU – The Bengals should have no trouble padding their offensive stats against the hapless Green Wave. LSU 42 – Tulane 10

Georgia @ Florida – And the Florida offense gets well against the Georgia defense. Maybe Tebow's Heisman stock will rise after this game. He sure hasn't looked Heisman-worthy so far. Gators 35 – Georgia 14.

Mississippi State @ Kentucky – The most interesting game of the day. Mississippi State has had several near misses against top tier teams. Kentucky's just barely treading water. With a nod to the SEC's reprimanded coaches, it's hard to figure out whom the referees will favor in this one. UK 21 – MSU 17

Eastern Michigan @ Arkansas – A compass point late in the season. Arkansas will continue to improve. Pigs 42 – Emus 14

South Carolina @UTK – It seems to be coming together for the Big Orange. Now if only Lane Kiffin could learn to keep his mouth shut and stop whining……. It gets so tiresome. Tennessee 28 - Gamecocks 17

Georgia Tech @ Vanderbilt -- Vandy's game against Army should help their defense against Tech. There's no substitute for live experience vs. the option. Of course, it's all for naught since you have to score in order to win, and the Commodores are sadly deficient in that area. Look for a lopsided time of possession and a totally exhausted defense giving up big plays and missed tackles late in the game. Ramblin' Wreck 31 – Vandy 6.
