Kyle Fuller signs with Vanderbilt

Rancho Verde (California) guard Kyle Fuller made it official today when he signed with Vanderbilt. He will still do an ceremony at his school on Thursday. Look inside to read what Fuller had to say about signing with the Commodores.

"It feels real good," said Rancho Verde guard Kyle Fuller after signing with Vanderbilt. Fuller continued, "I feel blessed actually, because everything I've worked hard for is coming through. I've spent countless hours in the gym working as hard as I can. Vanderbilt feels like home to me. I love all the players and coaches so it feels like my second home."

Fuller said his work ethic and unselfish play are what makes him a great player, "The fact that I lead and I love to run. I get my team involved and even though I can shoot and I can score, I'd rather throw a nice pass to give them the bucket."

The California prep star is excited about the possibility of taking over for Jermaine Beal next year, "I'm going to have a big load on my shoulders. I'm not going to play around, I'm going to be working hard... I'm about to make a living off of Festus, Brad and Jenkins."

Rancho Verde fell to Mater Dei last winter in the California CIF playoffs despite Fuller's 32 points. The Mustangs open the 2009-10 season on November 30th.

Fuller said that he plans to visit Vanderbilt in February for the Kentucky game.
