Meyers talks Vanderbilt camp

Park Vista (Florida) high school wide receiver Brendan Meyers camped at Vanderbilt last Sunday along with over 200 other prep prospects. Look inside to get the details of his camp performance and thoughts on Vanderbilt.

"I'm in love with the school. If I get an offer I will definitely commit," said Brendan Meyers.

Meyers camped at Vanderbilt last Sunday and performed well at the camp. "The coaches really liked me. I beat every corner out there." Additionally, Meyers said that he had one of the fastest forties at the camp.

As for his thoughts on the Vandy campus, Meyers was impressed. "The campus is huge and really nice. Vanderbilt has amazing facilities." The Sunshine State receiver also said he enjoyed working with the VU coaches, "I would love to play for both coach (Charlie) Fisher and coach (Rick) Logo." Logo is Meyers' recruiting coach and Fisher is the Commodore wide receivers coach.

As for an offer Meyers is optimistic but says, "I feel confident but time will tell." Meyers says that the Commodore staff is currently making evaluations to see who they are going to offer next. He wants to do everything possible for an offer except for one thing, "I don't want to ask [the VU staff] what I need to do for an offer because that would be disrespectful."

Meyers isn't planning on anymore visits or camps this summer, "I'm just trying to focus on my team." He continued, "I haven't been in contact with anyone but Vandy."

Will Vanderbilt offer Brendan Meyers? Staying tuned to and find out.
