Only six schools remain in the picture for Roberson. He has already taken three official visits to Kansas, SMU, and Syracuse, and will make two more to Villanova and Kentucky. Also he has made numerous unofficial visits to Rutgers which is right down the road.
"Things are going well," said Roberson of his recruitment. "I took a few visits and I am starting to get a better feel for where I am going to play in college."
The most recent visit was to Kansas and Roberson came away impressed with what he saw.
"I got to see the campus and meet the players and talk to the coaches," said Roberson of KU. "I liked the school and I liked what they were telling me. It was a real good visit."
In terms of what is next, he has that planned out.
"I am going to Villanova this weekend and then I am going to Kentucky the following weekend," said Roberson.
When asked about Villanova, Roberson said, "It is pretty close to home and they are a good basketball program. I want to talk to the coaches and just see how I feel about Villanova and if it would be the right place for me."
The visit to Kentucky will also be one about gaining information. With a talented class coming in, Roberson wants to see what the coaches have planned for him.
"When I go down there I am going to talk to the coaches and really get a feel for my situation and what my role will be if I went there," said Roberson. "I also want to get a feel for the school and just what it is like down there."
The one school he is most familiar with is Rutgers, and the Scarlet Knights are hoping to have home field advantage work in their favor.
"It is like 30 minutes away so my family could watch me and it would be nice to stay in New Jersey and play for a local school," said Roberson of the school.
For now he continues to move forward in the recruitment, and is beginning to have a plan emerge for making a decision.
"After the Kentucky visit I may have a better feel for where I want to go to school, but if not I may just cut it to three and then go from there," said Roberson.
