Taking a look first at the results of games from the first half of the Nike EYBL Hampton schedule for Saturday:

Team Penny won this morning, 64-60 over Southern Stampede with Ryan Boyce contributing 6 points on 2-6 FG and 2-2 FT, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 turnover.

Team Melo posted a 67-58 win over Team CP3 as Noah Locke poured in 24 points on 5-7 FG, 2-2 FT and 4-6 3PFG as well as 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 turnover.  His teammate, Brendan Adams dropped in 12 points on 3-5 FG, 3-3 FT, and 1-3 3PFG along with 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 turnover and 1 block.

The City Rocks grabbed a 75-69 win over RM5 Elite supported by 9 points from Joseph Girard III (3-7 FG (all three-pointers), 3 rebounds, and 2 turnovers).

PSA Cards beat Las Vegas Prospects 57-49 as Cole Anthony led the Cards with a fine performance - 17 points (5-11 FG, 5-5 FT, 2-4 3PFG), 1 rebound, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 0 turnovers.  Hameir Wright tallied 2 points and 2 rebounds for PSA while Jake Forrester posted a line of 8 points (2-5 FG, 4-6 FT), 7 rebounds, 1 assist, and 0 turnovers.

Jalen Carey had a strong outing for Playaz Club.  His 17 points (7-12 FG, 2-2 FT and 1-3 3PFG), 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 2 block, 4 turnover game spear-headed a 70-61 Playaz win over Pro Skills.

In other action, The Rens defeated Nike Family 85-79 as Cormac Ryan scored 13 points (5-13 FG, 2-2 FT, 1-6 3PFG), grabbed 6 rebounds, dished out 3 assists, grabbed 3 steals and turned it over twice.  He was supported by 7 points and 7 rebounds from Kofi Cockburn and 6 points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3PFG) from Bryce Wills.

Team Final was edged by Oakland Soldiers (59-58) despite a 17 point, 10 rebound, 5 assist, 4 steal, 2 block game from Cameron Reddish and 29 points from Louis King.  Matthue Cotton also chipped in 4 points and 3 rebounds for Team Final.  Taeshon Cherry’s 20 points led the winners.

In a game featuring three Villanova prospects and attended by Jay Wright, BABC took down Team Takeover 67-60.  Cole Swider torched the nets for 37 points (6-7 2PFG, 4-5 FT and a torrid 7-9 3PFG).  Swider also pulled down 7 rebounds, dished out 1 assist, and blocked 2 shots.  He showed good athleticism, great shooting form, and the ability to score in the paint as well.  He scored on a nice turnaround jumper off the glass with a defender in his grill and showed plenty of energy and passion for the game during his run.  For Takeover, Jalen Smith and Brandon Slater each posted 7 points.  Slater had a tough shooting game with 1-8 2PFG, 2-2 FT, and 1-1 3PFG and grabbed only 2 rebounds.  Smith was 3-4 2PFG, 1-1 FT and 0-1 3PFG with 3 rebounds and 3 turnovers.  Smith has a nice face the basket game for a player his height and has a nice shooting stroke.  Slater is an athletic wing that can guard multiple positions with length and speed.

Up in the Big Apple at the UAA event:

Team Breakdown defeated DC Premier 64-63 - Prentiss Hubb played 25 minutes and scored 12 points (3-7 FG, 1-4 3PFG) with 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 block and a turnover in a losing effort.  Elijah Weaver led Team Breakdown with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 turnovers and 2 steals.  He shot 6-14 from the field, 4-8 from three-point range and 2-2 FTs.

Team Charlotte took out New Heights (82-61) with a solid effort by Devon Dotson.   The point guard prospect put up 22 points, 7 assists, 7 rebounds, 6 steals, 4 turnovers  and 1 block (shooting 8-15 FG, 1-2 3PFG, 5-6 FT).

Team Rio got smoked by the Florida Vipers by a final score of 61-38.  The dynamic duo of Bryan Antoine and Scottie Lewis were held to 10 and 1 points, respectively.  Antoine was 4-14 from the floor, 0-6 from three and 2-3 at the line and pulled in 6 rebounds.  Lewis was 0-6 from the floor and 1-2 at the charity stripe.  He added 6 rebounds, a block and a steal but turned the ball over 5 times.

Sports U won 53-39 over Texas Hard Work - powered by the play of elite PG prospect, Jahvon Quinerly.  Quinerly had 13 points on 3-12 shooting, 5 assists and no turnovers.  Nazreon Reid put up another double-double with 12 points and 11 caroms.

And in Dallas at the Adidas games:

Mass Rivals defeated Stackhouse Elite (63-35) behind A.J. Reeves 21 points (7-11 FG, 6-9 3PFG).  Reeves also posted 3 rebounds and an assist.

The NE Playaz grabbed a 66-45 win over 1 Family.  Nate Laszewski scored 6 points on 2-2 FG and 2-2 FTs and pulled down two rebounds.  

Team Loaded VA beat Florida Sons, 63-60, with Rasir Bolton putting up 7 points (1-7 FG, 0-4 3PFG, 5-6 FT), 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 turnovers and 1 steal.
