Redman Flips to Hokies

Woodson High (Washington, D.C.) tight end Darius Woodman was part of Virginia's recruiting class, but that is no longer the case after he flipped to Virginia Tech.

Virginia Tech's scholarship crunch continues, but the Hokies keep adding to their 2011 class.

The latest person to commit to Virginia Tech was H.C. Woodson High (Washington, D.C.) tight end Darius Redman, who previously was committed to Virginia.

The 6-foot-4, 235-pound Redman is the teammate of Woodson High Adeboye Aromire, who is also a member of the 2011 class.

Redman joins Chris Hall and Christian Reeves as players who were recruited to play tight end with the Hokies, although Hall could find himself at another position.

Redman had approximately 40 catches for 475 yards as a senior.
