Swift Talks Process, Upcoming Visit

D'Andre Swift talked his recruiting process and a visit he has tentatively planned for this summer.

Florham Park, N.J. – 2017 running back D’Andre Swift is one of the best running backs on the East Coast. He’s the top-ranked RB on the East Coast and number four overall at the position.

Swift has gotten 25 offers so far. “I just take it day-by-day,” Swift said. “It’s just a humbling experience…The ones that are on my mind right now are Florida State, Georgia, Clemson, Penn State, Alabama, Ohio State.”

Those aren’t Swift’s favorites, though.

“Those schools are just coming at me real hard right now,” Swift said.

Swift has a few visits planned, but doesn’t have any set dates.

“The next school I’m trying to get up to is Florida State, but I don’t have a set date as to when I’m going,” Swift said. “But I know Florida State is one I’m trying to visit.”

Swift has already visited Georgia, Clemson, and Penn State. A few things stood out to him on those visits.

“The atmosphere all around,” Swift said. “Just to see the practice and how the players feed off of each other and the coaching staff.”

Swift attended Georgia’s spring game this year.

“It was 93k,” Swift said. “I don’t think you can beat 93k for a spring game, so it was real exciting…It was nice. Everybody was screaming, you could tell everyone at Georgia loves Georgia football.”

When he’s on these visits, Swift is looking for a few things.

“Just to see the coach,” Swift said, “to see the history behind it. Just the academic part, the academic system behind the whole school, how I’d be used in the offense, and stuff like that.”
