There's no shortage of options for Paramus Catholic (NJ) three-star defensive tackle Corey Bolds. Last week, Louisville, Wake Forest and California became the latest to offer, bringing Bolds' total well over 20 offers.
Bolds, though, is in no hurry. He has a few aspects he especially looks into when checking out schools.
"It’s somewhere I feel comfortable, like the team or family atmosphere," Bolds said. "I like to visit schools and see, would I be happy there if I wasn’t a football player? Things like that. Then, somewhere I know a coaching staff cares about me and just overall, what’s best for me."
Bolds said he's also keeping tabs on Virginia Tech. Along with a handful of his teammates, Bolds visited the Hokies last summer. He's also heard plenty from a former teammate, offensive lineman Billy Ray Mitchell, who's made numerous pitches.
"I’m interested in them because of him," Bolds said. "I took a visit there last year and I absolutely loved the campus. I’m just waiting for that right opportunity to get back down."
Bolds has no dates set, but plans to see Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Georgia and Penn State at some point next month. He loosely plans to announce a decision on Sept. 28, his birthday.
