Offensive lineman Bryson Speas already has one teammate committed to Virginia Tech in three-star quarterback Hendon Hooker. Another, 2018 cornerback D.J. Crossen, was offered Sunday at the Hokies' first recruiting camp of July.
Speas maintains his commitment to the Cavaliers. But should Virginia Tech come through with an offer, Speas could have second thoughts, as he told TheVTZone.com Sunday. He also said Hooker is pushing for Speas to join him.
"You know Virginia and Virginia Tech are rival schools," Speas said. "He's always pushing on me, saying something. I mean, that's my quarterback, so something to look forward to."
Speas plans to return to Blacksburg Saturday for the Hokies' cookout.
