There are a pair of options on the table for Marvin Ridge (NC) three-star guard Dmitri Emmanuel in North Carolina, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Boston College, Old Dominion, Western Carolina and Charlotte. But he's not done working on more options.
Emmanuel got another crack at an option Sunday. That came just one day after working vigorously at practice for the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.
Emmanuel didn't leave Blacksburg with an offer. But he believes he's close and should an offer come through, the Hokies would be in excellent position.
"Right now, I feel like I'm in a pretty good spot," Emmanuel said. "I'm gonna get a call (this) week and get an update on where I stand."
The visit marked the second to Virginia Tech for Emmanuel. He last visited this spring for one of the Hokies' spring practices.
"I really liked it and as soon as we drove to the parking lot, just the scenery, the whole place, it felt like home," Emmanuel said. "I liked it here a lot."
This summer, Emmanuel also took in camps at Tennessee, Wake Forest, Charlotte and Western Carolina. He hopes to make a decision before his senior season begins.
