The weekend was a busy one for Westerville-South (OH) four-star running back Jaelen Gill. On Friday, Gill and his family visited West Virginia. On Saturday and Sunday, they were on hand at Virginia Tech, for the Hokies' cookout and then recruiting camp.
Between the two days, Gill spoke at length with coach Justin Fuente, assistant coach Zohn Burden and other members of the coaching staff. Those days gave him a better sense of where he stands with Virginia Tech. And while he's nowhere near a cut down or decision, Gill said the Hokies are in good position.
"We pulled in (Saturday) morning around 6:30, got a couple of hours of sleep and came straight here," Gill said. "I got a tour of the whole campus and everything. The campus is beautiful. I got to get even closer with the coaching staff, even sat down, watched film with Coach Fuente and everything and see how they would run the offense if I were to come here."
