"It shows hard work really pays off and I'm thankful for everything and excited about what the future holds," said the 6-foot-1, 165-pound Jones.
West Virginia was the most recent school to offer.
"Like any offer, it definitely means a lot," Jones said. "I actually visited earlier this summer and the campus was really nice. The facilities were nice and so were the dorms. I'm going to try to get back to a game this fall.
"I was able to talk to (cornerbacks) coach (Blue) Adams and I've also spoken with (defensive assistant) coach (Logan) Williams. I like their attitude towards the game and how they like to be aggressive and motivate guys."
ones' last visit was to Virginia Tech a few weeks ago.
"It was a good visit," he said. "We were able to talk to the coaches and they showed me a lot of love. I like the environment in Blacksburg. We also had a chance to see the weight room and indoor facility, which were really nice. But my favorite part was probably getting to go in the locker room and getting a feel for what it's like before a game.
"I spent the most time talking with (safeties) coach (Galen) Scott and (cornerbacks) coach (Brian) Mitchell. They were complimenting me on how I play and said that they could see me coming to Virginia Tech in a few years. They also told me to keep working hard on the field and in the classroom. And I had a chance to speak to (defensive coordinator) coach (Bud) Foster and coach (Justin) Fuente. They talked to me about Virginia Tech in general. I plan on visiting again."
Besides the aforementioned schools, Jones said he hoped to get to Florida and Florida State this fall.
"Florida was actually my first offer and (defensive backs) coach (Torian) Gray and I have developed a really good relationship," he said. "It's also in the SEC and they produce a lot of DBs."
"Florida State has had a lot of success in the 757 and coach (Jimbo) Fisher loves the area. All the guys from the area that go to school there have told me good things about it and they produce a lot of DBs, too."
