Hokies' Battle At Bristol Uniform Unveiled Via Twitter

Virginia Tech unveils its Battle at Bristol in unique way.

The official uniform that Virginia Tech will wear at the Battle at Bristol is now public. And the Hokies let the cat out of the bag in a big way.

Indian River (Va.) five-star safety Devon Hunter, No. 5 in the Scout300 got to be the one to show off the new duds. Hunter, Virginia Tech's top recruit for the 2017 class, unofficially visited Blacksburg this weekend. And during his visit, he got to try on and show off the uniform.

And minutes later, Virginia Tech made the unveiling official. Athletics director Whit Babcock had alluded to the uniform Aug. 10 in the press conference for the Battle at Bristol. He said then that the uniform could have gray and black.

The attire will include a black helmet with gray lettering and the infamous Hokie Stone on the uniform itself.

The new uniform also drew plenty of reaction on Twitter, including from former Hokies safety Kam Chancellor and other recruits like 2018 four-star linebacker Teradja Mitchell:
