The anticipated return of former offensive coordinator (now in the same role at Boston College), didn't quite live up to the hype. Virginia Tech dominated from beginning to end and romped to an easy 49-0 win Saturday afternoon over the Eagles. The Hokies allowed just 124 yards of offense, only 44 yards rushing to the Eagles.
More importantly, for one game at least, Virginia Tech solved its fumble riddle. After leading the FBS in fumbles with 10 their first two games, the Hokies had just one turnover, a tipped pass that was intercepted in the third quarter, but didn't result in any points.
The Hokies are now 2-1 on the season and get out to a 1-0 stake in the ACC.
