Several ACC programs inquiring about 2019 RB Cameron Cloud

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Cameron Cloud is off to a strong start this season and the 2019 Northwest Guilford running back spoke with Scout about the latest developments in his recruitment.

"I have offers from VirginiaCharlotte and  Elon," Cameron Cloud said. "I've also been in contact with Virginia TechClemsonNorth CarolinaWake Forest and NC State."

Which could be next to offer?

"I think it could be UNC," said the 5-foot-8, 175-pound Cloud. "They're definitely a great program and it would be big if they offered. I like the coaches and they really take care of their players. I also like the atmosphere and it's just a great school overall in a great college town. I'll probably go to a game soon.

"I camped there this past summer and I thought it was really good. It was really organized and I thought I did pretty well. My favorite part was probably one-on-ones. (Offensive line) coach (Chris) Kapilovic and (running backs) coach (Larry) Porter are recruiting me and I like both of them. Coach Kapilovic is a fun guy and he relates well to players. I feel like I can talk to him about anything. And it's the same thing with coach Porter. He's easy to talk to and always gives me good advice."

As for his next visit, it could possibly be Virginia Tech.

"I'm looking forward to seeing the atmosphere and learning more about the program," Cloud said. "I really like the new coaching staff. I also like Blackburg. It's a great college town and has a great atmosphere.

"(Running backs) coach (Zohn) Burden is recruiting me and we're developing a good relationship. I like that he stays on his players and pushes them to be the best they can be."

Other than North Carolina and Virginia Tech, Cloud said he could possibly visit Notre Dame and NC State in the near future.
