Defensive coordinator Bud Foster has a few plans for the Hokies' bye week.

The Hokies might not be playing this weekend, but defensive coordinator Bud Foster has other plans for the weekend.

Virginia Tech defensive coordinator Bud Foster has a few things he wants to do during the Hokies' bye this weekend. He wants to do some yard work and spend some time with his wife.

Foster is also doing plenty for when Virginia Tech takes the field Oct. 8 at North Carolina. He's still gameplanning and on Saturday, in between recruiting trips, Foster plans to watch the Tar Heels play at Florida State.

But while the bye comes a bit earlier than usual, it still gives Foster and the Hokies a chance to recharge.

"It’ll give us a chance to take a little bit of relief," Foster said. "But our full intentions are we have a lot of football left to play and with the exception of one game, every game is ACC. And every game is going to be a big-time football game. But very much looking forward to this opportunity coming up."

Check out the above video, as Foster and redshirt freshman defensive end Trevon Hill addressed the media Tuesday.
