His team had just taken a tough loss on Friday. An interception return for a touchdown sealed a 20-3 loss to Davie County (NC).

After coach Adrian Snow took the Titans players aside, one player stood up. K.J. Henry was the one to stand up and light into his teammates. He challenged them and took on a leadership role and encouraged them to play better.

Henry also has been the center of attention for many colleges. Well over two dozen schools have offered Henry, who's taken in a few visits already this fall. Last weekend, he was at Clemson. The weekend before, Sept. 24, he was at Virginia Tech. He also visited South Carolina and Pittsburgh during the opening weeks of the season.

The Hokies have been among those to make Henry a priority for the 2018 class. And to this point, they remain among those under consideration.

"They treated me right and I had a good experience," Henry said. "Coach Fuente sees a lot in me. He's a new coach and he's an offensive-minded coach, but Bud Foster's the man. That's no shocker there. He's a great mind to pick. I think they have that playing on their side."

Henry has no other visits set.
